AZAZIL? WHO IS HE??

Bismillah...I wanna share something interesting..

A long time ago, there was a community of jinns, made from smokeless fire that Allah had created. Over time, they became excessively disobedient until Allah ordered the angels to destroy them. The angels destroyed the community of jinns but spared the life of a baby jinn named Azazil.

Azazil was then raised by the angels and grew to become a righteous and knowledgeable servant. He soon became the most knowledgable jinn. He was able to raise himself above the angels in piety and knowledge. But when Allah ordered him to bow down to Adam he refused..he allowed that knowledge to make him arrogant..

" And remember when We said to the angels, Prostate yourselves before Adam, and they prostrated except Iblis, who refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers." (2:34)

Ever since then, Azazil is known as Iblis..

But what I wanna share is that, when Allah got mad at Iblis and made him from the disbelievers, Iblis blamed Allah..

" He (Iblis) said, Now because You have sent me astray, verily I shall ambush them from the straight path." (7:16)

Imagine, Iblis..blaming Allah for his own mistake..now let's look at Adam and Hawa..

After they ate the fruit from the forbidden tree, what did they do?? They for sure did not blame Allah for their mistake but recognized their mistake and took responsibility:

" They said: Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves! If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we shall certainly be of the losers." (7:23)

So the question arises, when we do something wrong.. What do we usually do? Do we usually blame others like Iblis? Or do we take full responsibility like Adam and Hawa? Ask yourselves..

Another important conclusion from the story is about repentance..there are a couple of ahadeeths that state that those who accept their mistakes and repent are usually forgiven by Allah.

" Every child of Adam is a sinner, but the best amongst the sinners are those who repent."

I know its kind of hard to believe cause we as humans have done so many sins, but trust me, in my experience Allah is the Most Forgiving..we just need to admit we are wrong and repent..we are humans, by nature weak, but Allah doesn't expect perfection from us...

" Allah wants to make your burden light for you, for man was created weak." (4:28)
