Bismillah,
I was going through my old pictures in my laptop and I came across this picture. Wow, this is an emotional picture..taken at an emotional time. At the time, the only hope was Allah, the only weapon was du’a. Masha –Allah.
Try imagining, you’re training with your friends. Weeks spent together, laughing, studying, eating, debating, goofing around..
Each of us a school representative. Each of us, has our school’s name on our shoulders. Then all of a sudden, we had to go against each other, one team had to lose.
At the time, I was filled with emotions. How could I go against my own friends? How can one of us lose?? It was an ugly battle and my team lost.
The day was glum; both team in no mood, even the winning team.
Then Allah wanted to trail us again. Again we had to face each other; again one team had to lose.
But this time we did what we didn’t do in the last round, Du’a..
“Oh Allah, if victory is on our side, then grant it to us. But if victory is for our friends, then help us have patience in Your plan”
Life has taught me that when in doubt, make dua’. When in anger, make du’a. When in sadness, make du’a. He never fails us, He may delay the answer or save it for later, but He never says no.
So in this blessed month of Ramadan, let’s all increase our du’as, especially after the azan of Maghrib until before iqamah. Insha-Allah He hears you, for verily He is the All Hearer.
